Passports

If you recall, it was recommended that you obtain a passport for our mission trip.  Although a passport is not required for entry into Canada or to return to the United States, it will be the most convenient form of identification.   Please check out the State Department's website for complete information on travel to Canada.  Another option is the US Passport Card.  This acts like a passport for ground and sea travel to Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda (but not for air travel).  It is significantly cheaper than an actual passport.  A passport for someone 16 and over is $100, while the passport card is only $45.  The fees for someone 15 and under is $85 and $35 respectively.  It is something to seriously consider if you do not think you will be traveling outside the United States where you would require an actual passport.  If you do not get either a passport or a passport card, you will be required to bring your state-issued birth certificate or a copy.  Please check out the link above and make the wisest choice for your circumstances in consultation with your parents.

Reminders

A quick reminder to the team to keep journaling this month.  Remember we are going through the book of Acts.  Also, if you have not given your $5 to Bekah, please do so early this week.  I know most of you have.  Thanks.  Please remember to be praying.

Meeting and Journaling Reminder

Ok team, now that you are on a nice vacation, this might be a good time to get caught up on your journaling.  Some of you are very, very far behind on your journaling.  Remember that we have a meeting the first week back from Thanksgiving break.  You need to bring you journals with you.  Please don't let them be blank ones!!  Also, you need to be prepared to give me an update on your fundraising at the next meeting.

Missions Banquet Recap

Hey team, just wanted to let you all know how much I enjoyed the banquet. It was great being able to talk with your families. Jake, you did a great job on the speech. Perfectly appropriate for the occasion. Morgan, I loved the waterfalls. It was a shame to see them have to go in the trash. And it was great to meet your gmom. We have been praying for her for so long and it was an answer to prayer that she could come to the banquet. I am so looking forward to serving with all of you. Nice job on the game, Beka!! God bless each of you!!!
